A hardy bunch of Wallsend Harrier cyclists braved the gruelling 160+ miles of the Sandstone Way for this year’s Toby, raising money for St Oswald’s Hospice.
There is still time to donate so please do if you can. We support St Oswald’s every year. It is a charity which means a lot to our club.
This year’s challenge, which took place between the 18th to 20th August, was not for the faint hearted. Usually a route for mountain bikers, this challenging route goes from one end of Northumberland to the other, traversing an ever-changing landscape which is rich in history, geology and iconic scenery. They went on road, off road, through fields, up hills, down hills, through fords and animals galore!
The awesome crew were Dave C, Kev, Paul S, Rob S, Barry, Darryl, Dave Hughes, Alan Durney, Mick S, and Fitz. Well done lads! An amazing achievement. We are all very proud of you.
