Whitley Bay Junior Parkrun – Wallsend takeover 15th October!

Wallsend Harriers will be taking over Whitley Bay Junior Parkrun on Sunday 15th October!

It will take place at 9am next to the Rendevouz Cafe on Whitley Bay seafront (NE26 1TP). The course is 2k and open to 4-14 year-olds. Don’t forget to register for your free race barcode (if you don’t already have one) to ensure your run/time is officially registered. Visit the parkrun website if you need further information.

Everyone is welcome and it would be brilliant if we could have all of Wallsend’s youngest members, their families and friends out in force on the day.

If anyone is able to marshal, then please let Bill know, so he can advise the organisers.

My mission to BeatBerlin42

Training started as soon as I crossed the finish line of my last marathon (Stirling) in May 2017. My marathon times have recently been getting slower; therefore I was determined to take my training more seriously this time. After a year in Paris (see previous article), I was back training with the green and golds on a full time basis and feeling the benefits. My training routine included everything from spinning classes, parkrun, Tuesday and Thursday training nights to running the last leg of The Toby with the Harriers in August.
