Club Championships 2018

The Club Championship is the highlight of the Wallsend Harriers racing calendar.

Whether you’re aiming to be the Club Champion, wanting to settle a (friendly) training rivalry or even if you just want those 50 SGP points, then you need to be at the starting line on Tuesday July 17th at the Centurion Golf Club.
The junior race will be starting at 18:30, with the seniors starting at around 18:50.
We ask you to arrive from 18:10 so that registration can be completed smoothly and all our races and competitiors can be cheered on!
Don’t forget your club vest, we want a sea of Green and Gold flooding the route.

Will it ever be the same without Ian MacDougall, this will be the first ever Club Championship (since the first race in 1978) without our club legend participating!

Will any body be able to wrestle the Margaret Watson trophy from Sarah Robson, who is on for a threepeat?

Can Sam Charlton hold on to the male title for a second year?

The route consists of one lap (approx. 3 mile) for the women and two laps (approx. 6 miles) for the men. The course starts and finishes at the top of Rheydt Avenue and takes runners along Appletree Gardens, up Benton Road, along the Coast Road and back down West Street for the first lap.
