Virtual WGP – Doug Bramley Cup Info🏆

The Doug Bramley Cup will be ran virtually this year, but there is still a trophy to be won and a name to be etched upon it!

Dave Collinson is our defending champion, 2 time defending champion actually…
Nobody has ever successfully defended the trophy, in fact, nobody else has even won it twice!
His name shall forever be written in Harriers lore, but rumour has it that the trophy may be re-named if he comes through with the 3-peat.

Can you let this happen?
Want your name in the Wallsend Harriers history books?
How good would your name look etched onto the trophy?

Over the past 2 months we’ve tried to reignite our (friendly but) competitive spirit and now is the time to invoke it.

The 5k must be ran on the official Winter Grand Prix course, prior to the 23rd of December.
Not sure of the course? Well, it has been a while – so you can check it out here.

Your coach will be organising a Tuesday session on the course to give it as close to race feel as we can in the current Covid-19 climate.
We’ve already created the handicaps from recent events too;

If you’re name isn’t on the handicap list, don’t worry, you can still take part but you will need to liaise with your coach to get one in place beforehand.

We do have one final ask; in taking part we’d really appreciate a donation to our local food bank to help those less fortunate this Christmas.
