Calling all athletes for 2016’s track and field!
Last year our combined Wallsend/Blyth team WON the North of England track & field division 3 league This was a massively proud moment for our club.
This year we start our division 2 campaign on 7th May in York (road trip) and we will be competing against some of the best teams in the North of England.
Dates and venues:…
1. Sat 7th May at York (new stadium)
2. Sun 5th June at Gateshead
3. Sun 3rd July at Morpeth
4. Sat 6th August at Middlesbrough
We want to be competitive in this league and therefore need a huge turnout for every fixture. That’s exactly how we won it last year. Can you please send me your name, EA number and date of birth if you want to take part this year…and I know you all want to take part. Please remember that we need you to have registered with EA before the first fixture and Elaine Liu mentioned at the club everyone should receive a notification later this week to register, if you don’t please contact Elaine or Michael Day.
I am really looking forward to this year, we’ve trained hard and deserve to be in this league, let’s go out compete hard and enjoy. We need athletes, supporters and people willing to help out, it’s absolutely not just about the people who make the team – this is about the whole club and you are all part of this club so let’s get involved.
