This coming Tuesday (the 25th July) our club session for both the seniors and juniors will be held at Seaton Sluice (aka ‘Gods country’ according to our chairman).
We’ll be meeting at the car park of the Butty Bus diner at 18:20, aiming for a 18:30 start. Directions are available below…
Ok I know summer has barely got started but for those chomping at the bit for the next x-country season you’ll be pleased to know details have been announced!

Yes it’s usually pretty muddy and sometimes a tad chilly but it’s soooo much fun. We did so well last season but we can do even better this season.
So get your spikes at the ready and get stuck in!
Firstly, apologies this is a bit late coming. There have been so many Green and Gold achievements over the past couple of weeks I have really struggled to keep track of them all. So please forgive me if I’ve missed anyone and let me know if I have so I can make sure everyone is recognised and congratulated.
Matty Summers won tonight’s SGP in a time of 11:37. Fastest male on the night was Simon Lyon (10:57) and fastest female was Erin Prior (12:40 a new ladies record).
Full results are attached.
Well done to everyone who ran. Thanks also to the timekeepers, marshals, first aiders, lead runner and tail bike.
The results are now available on Power of 10.
The last SGP is on Tuesday 22nd August and fingers crossed Gary Lewis will be back and you can all pester him again about his handicap times!
I’m not sure what possessed me to sign up for this (I was thinking to myself early on Sunday 2nd July), but having roped two other Wallsend Harrier ladies into it I was compelled to drag myself to the depths of Northumberland to the newly established Run Northumberland Coquet Half Marathon (this is only its second year).
