Rest In Peace

It is with great sadness that today we heard about the passing of club member, Robbie Livermore, who died yesterday.

Robbie joined our club in 2014 along with members of his family. He was a great runner and clubmate who represented the club across a range of distances.

Robbie was an immensely popular member of the club. He was funny, good company and a genuinely likeable person.

He will be sorely missed.

As a club our thoughts and prayers go out to Robbie’s family; especially Karen, Callum and Briony, at this sad and difficult time.

RIP.

Young Guns flying high at the opening WGP handicap ?

A huge turnout with 48 runners crossing the line, with our juniors sweeping the podium.

In terms of fastest individual times, Danielle Hodgkinson was our leading lady in a rapid 17:32 and setting a new ladies course record in the process.
However the plaudits go once again to Sam Charlton who ran the 5k route in an astonishing 15:36 – a new PB for him as well as the WGP course record! Unbelievable that both records have been broken!!!

Thank you to Bill, Simon, Steve, Donna & Stephen for their support in making the event possible.

Full results are here – see you at the next one!
